Srinagar- Militants shot at and injured a policeman in the Bewora area of Bijbehara in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday, officials said.
An official said that militants shot and injured the policeman in the Bewora area of Bijbehara.
He said that the injured cop was immediately evacuated to SDH Bijbehara, with a gunshot wound in his leg, where from he was referred to 92 Base hospital in Srinagar.
The injured cop has been identified as Firdous Ahmad Bhat son of Wali Ahmad Bhat of Hugamand
The official said that area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers
